The Reading Poker Tells Video Series uses footage from the Windy City Poker Championships, which are held in Chicago. 2%1 of the revenue from all Reading Poker Tells Video purchases go to Chicago-area charities. So far, charities donated to include:
- Ralph Erickson Educational Foundation
- VFW Post 2791 Veterans of Foreign Wars
- POTCF Pediatric Oncology Treasure Chest Foundation (foundation that sends presents to kids going through medical procedures)
- Shady Oaks Camp (camp for children and adults with disabilities)
- Cabrini Connections (tutoring program in Chicago that helps kids in grades 7-12)
- American Legion Post 1170
- Tinley Park Bulldogs Youth Baseball
1 The 2% is of net purchase price after payment processing fees (approximately 5%) are subtracted. For affiliate sales, the percentage will be approximately one-third less than sales that occur on this site.
UPDATE: From Sept 26, 2017 to October 31, 2017 (PST determining day beginning/end), I gave 50% of the sales of my video series and ebooks sold through my site to the charity Americares. For more details on how much money was collected for charity, see this blog post.
